Maida Vale’s peaceful streets are flanked by stunning period homes, undamaged by the Blitz and dating from the 1840s. Famously, Alan Turning, born in the area’s Colonnade Hospital, played a fundamental role in winning the Second World War by cracking German codes.

Prominent Maida Vale tenants, both present and past, includes former The Jam frontman Paul Weller, Pink Floyd guitarist David Gilmour, Paddington Bear author Michael Bond and Sir Richard Branson, who owns a houseboat in Little Venice.
